Frozen Banana Daiquiri
This tropical frozen daiquiri is creamy, boozy, and refreshing—a great way to use up ripe bananas. The lemon juice keeps the flavor bright and helps the bananas keep their color. It’s a crowd-pleasing summer cocktail that scoops like a soft sorbet.
Ingredients:
- 3 ripe bananas
- ⅓ cup fresh lemon juice
- ¾ cup rum
- ½ cup superfine sugar
- ¾ cup water
Directions:
- Working quickly to prevent discoloration, peel the bananas and place them in a food processor with the lemon juice. Purée until smooth.
- Stir in the rum, sugar, and water until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into the bowl of your Whynter ice cream maker. Freeze according to the manufacturer’s instructions—about 25 to 30 minutes, depending on how firm you like your drinks.
Serves: 6
Serving Tip:
Serve in chilled cocktail glasses with a lime wedge or a sprinkle of grated nutmeg for a Caribbean twist.
