Champagne Sorbet
Effervescent and refined, Champagne Sorbet is a sparkling finish to a special dinner or a refreshing interlude between courses. The delicate flavor and light texture make it an ideal choice for celebrations or elegant entertaining. Serve it alongside fresh strawberries or in a chilled flute for a truly luxurious experience.
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle (about 3 cups) chilled Champagne
- 1½ cups simple syrup
Instructions:
- Mix:
In a bowl or directly in the machine, combine the chilled Champagne and simple syrup. Stir gently to preserve the bubbles. - Freeze:
Pour the mixture into the bowl of your Whynter ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer’s instructions, usually about 30 minutes. Note: Alcohol-based sorbets melt more quickly than non-alcoholic varieties. For best texture, leave the sorbet in the machine until just before serving.
Serving Suggestions:
Scoop into coupe glasses and serve with fresh strawberries, raspberries, or a twist of lemon peel. It’s also lovely served between courses as a palate cleanser during a formal meal.
