
Mango Sorbet
This vibrant, silky sorbet captures the rich sweetness of ripe mangoes with a bright citrus finish. Taking the time to strain the purée ensures a smooth texture and a spoonful of pure tropical sunshine in every bite.
Ingredients:
- 4 ripe mangoes
- 1 cup simple syrup
- ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
Instructions:
- Prepare the mangoes:
Peel and pit the mangoes, then cut into chunks. - Purée:
Blend the mango flesh in a food processor until smooth. You should have about 3½ cups of purée. - Mix:
Stir in the simple syrup and lemon juice. Taste and adjust for sweetness or acidity, if needed. - Strain:
Push the mixture through a fine sieve to remove any fibers or pulp for a silky, smooth sorbet base. - Freeze:
Pour the strained mixture into the bowl of your Whynter ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
